School Health

Our Public Health Nurses are available to visit each of the Osceola County schools on a regular basis. The nurses are also available for confidential conferences regarding medical or social problems. In accordance with the Florida Stature 381.0056 health services program and Florida Administrative Code 64F 6.003 the screenings listed below are required for students in the grades specified. The list of screenings are as follows:

  • Audio/Visual = Grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 6th graders
  • Height/Weight = Grades: 1st, 3rd, 6th graders
  • Scoliosis = grades: 6th
  • BMI = Grades: 1st, 3rd, 6th graders

These screenings are done between September and December.
